About Susan Dubrunfaut

My current artwork is primarily monotype. I am drawn to the immediacy of direct painting on Plexiglas to produce a unique print. I also work in collagraph and linocut. Daily life and quiet observation provide inspiration for my work.  I am drawn to form, color, light, and pattern to convey an honest, direct experience of subject matter in my artwork.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, and an Art Education Certification from Moore College of Art and Design. I fell in love with the versatility of Waterbased Printmaking nearly 10 years ago, while studying with Patricia Shaw Lima. As a life-long student, I am constantly learning from my art students at The Shipley School and teens and adults in my drawing classes at The Abington Art Center. It is a pleasure to create my work in a wonderful print shop and gallery space, 705 West in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. I am a member of the Cheltenham Printmakers Guild and The American Color Print Society.
